Texoma Announcement
Posted Jul 31, 2018

Hello Everyone,

We are happy to announce that for the 2018 Fall Season, Lake Cities Football and Cheer along with the rest of the NTFA has joined with Texoma Youth Football. This will give us the opportunity to compete against different teams from the North Texas area. This move is vital to our players, which allows them to play an 8-game season plus post season. This move was voted on by the board and was unanimous.

This move does not effect the K1-Flag teams at this moment. Those teams will still be playing within the NTFA and should remain local. If this changes due to the addition of TYFL teams, I will contact the head coaches of the those teams.

The Texoma league has very similar rules and bylaws as the LCFCA and NTFA. There are a few minor differences. There will be gate fees at all games and venues. $4 for Adults and $1 for children that are of school age. These fees are mandated by the Texoma Youth Football League and help pay for the referees.

There will be two divisions: A north and south division. The South Division will be comprised of Lake Cities, Little Elm, 380, The Colony, Prosper, and Celina. The North Division will be comprised of Anna, Melissa, Sherman, Van Alstyne, Bonham, and Denison. There will be some travel required for games this season. We understand that this may be of an inconvenience to parents and teams, but this ensures that all teams play a full schedule of 8 games and the teams we are going to be playing will not be the same every week. Texoma league boast more than 8 teams in almost every grade.

We are still hosting out annual Duffey Bowl on August 18thand has grown from last year. The first week of games for the Texoma League will begin on August 25thfor 5thand 6thgrade teams only. This means that all other teams will not play this week. The next week of September 1stwill be the official start of all teams to play.

With this merging into this league, there may be some more documentation that is needed. We ask that you work with us to make this transition as smooth as possible. We are hoping there is no further documentation and that we can seamlessly integrate for this season. Thank you all for your support and understanding. This move was to benefit the players and cheerleaders to better equip them with the tools and chances to play and cheer.

We as a league are very excited at this opportunity to go out there and play against new teams and show them what we Falcons bring to the table. I want to wish all of the Cheer Squads and Football teams the best of luck. Go Falcons!!!

Thank you,
